Tadcaster Golf Club, based in North Yorkshire, is looking for a Deputy Course Manager to join the team. Tadcaster are part of Get Golfing CIO, one of the UK's fastest growing golf and hospitality operators.
Get Golfing venues are seen as community hubs, engaging and supporting local people and businesses through a range of activities and initiatives. Our approach of high-quality golf in a welcoming and relaxing environment is key to our success.
The owners pride themselves, as golfers of ability, on the presentation of the course.
The Deputy Course Manager position is an integral part of the club's management structure and forms a very string link between senior management and the greenkeeping team. The successful candidate should have a flexible approach, be self motivated, a natural leader of people, able to teach, train and guide members of the team with empathy, humility and patience. Candidates must have good greenkeeping skills, agronomic knowledge and a reasonable understanding of health and safety, COSHH and other legislative matters.
For candidates to be considered they must meet all of the following criteria:
Educated to a minimum of NVQ level 2
At least 5 years greenkeeping experience
PA1,2 and 6 spraying certificates
Experience with irrigation maintenance and repair
Knowledge of machinery maintenance
Excellent communication skills & IT literacy
Ability to lead and motivate staff, along with and in the absence of the Course Manager
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years experience as a senior/first assistant or deputy
