Sanctuary Personnel are currently seeking aHead of Therapies (Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist) to join our client's dynamic team.
Their assessment centres, rehabilitation units, and hospitals employ expert neurorehabilitation to help individuals regain lost skills. You will be responsible for the delivery and governance of a multi-disciplinary therapy service by assessing, implementing (directly or through junior staff), and evaluating personalised rehabilitation programmes as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Additionally, you will provide strong leadership and management for the therapies team, including recruitment, appraisals, and performance management.
Line management responsibility for the Therapy Team Manager.
Maintain robust communication networks with the Head of Clinical Services, Service Director, and other agencies and professionals.
Lead, motivate, and manage the therapy team.
Manage the unit’s complex caseload, providing highly specialist treatment programmes to meet individual needs.
Ensure practice complies with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) standards and relevant professional ethics.
Share knowledge and expertise with other staff through formal and informal teaching within the therapy team and the wider centre.
Continuously develop team knowledge and expand clinical/rehabilitation skills and effectiveness.
Work closely with other areas of the organisation, including fundraising, marketing, and policy/campaigns, providing information and analysis to support the delivery of the organisational strategy.
BSc degree level qualification in either Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy.
Registered with Health and Care Professionals Council.
Post-registration training in a relevant speciality.
Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
Highly specialist knowledge and application of therapy assessments and interventions using complex clinical reasoning.
Ability to confidently assess and manage risk related to therapist/therapy service performance.
Leadership and visionary skills to inspire the therapy team.
