A leading law firm has a new permanent job vacancy for a Knowledge Management Officer based in London with a hybrid working pattern in place. This role is to join the central Knowledge, LawTech Team who are committed to being market leaders of how new technologies, processes and solutions are used in their legal field.
This will include ensuring compliance with GDPR and other relevant law and regulation including the firm’s know-how and precedent databases, architecture, and taxonomy; legal search engines and associated integrations and the firm’s culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
As Knowledge Management Officer your job role will include: Establishing a role as a daily central point of contact for the Professional Support Lawyers and continue to build strong working relationships
Supporting the growth in quality precedents and know how
Excel and PowerPoint, database software and typical office IT systems generally
Delivering refresher training and new joiner induction to staff, lawyers, and trainees on how to use the firm’s knowledge systems, including the intranet
Creating and maintaining user guides and training materials (including e-learning) on how to use the firm's knowledge systems
Optimising how the information content is provisioned
Supporting the firm’s Knowledge Manager with the review of legal taxonomies, automated and classification of legal content.
Helping to develop and trial new systems and features and providing feedback
The ideal candidate may have one to three years’ experience working in a legal, professional services or corporate office environment. You will thrive on driving the delivery of KM projects and programmes, be personable and have bags of enthusiasm. You will possess the ability to develop a good understanding of the work of the legal practice areas to appreciate internal clients' information needs, to identify relevant knowledge and effectively draft/edit summaries and disseminate such content.
