The job exists within the UK Local Operating Company (LOC) to ensure that the Quality Management System (QMS) requirements for interacting with patients to deliver healthcare activities are met. The job is critical for the safe and effective management of systems and activities that have a direct impact on patients. Assess and proactively create and implement a continuous improvement plan for the adoption of the principles and requirements of a Quality Management System into the UK Medical and Commercial departments of the LOC, including identifying, understanding and sharing appropriate information.
Undertake relevant training forums to deliver Patient Programmes
Responsible for the ensuring a robust, sustainable and effective QMS through monitoring and reviewing the compliance status within the UK LOC
Implement and maintain effective Quality Assurance systems to ensure that local operations are in full compliance with GSK standards and policies as well as NHS best practice.
Ensure that all SOPs are in place, updated & training is conducted across the business. Ensure a monitoring system in place for tracking training compliance and process for escalation.
Identify, Implement and Manage QA Objectives & KPIs
Establish and manage Annual Quality Plans
Establish and manage Risk Management, Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs), auditing, complaints and incident management processes.
Relevant Undergraduate degree in a life sciences related field, other tertiary qualification or commensurate professional experience.
Significant and varied experience working in Pharmaceutical / Consumer Healthcare industries, preferably in the capacity of a senior quality specialist or a manager
Strong understanding of and experience in quality assurance systems
Good knowledge on effective quality documentation systems
Good time management skills, with ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Concise and persuasive in the description of the different QA situations. Flexible thinking – able to challenge and see views from different perspectives
Strong general computer literacy with Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
