BMS Panel Wireman

Akton are recruiting on behalf of a client who are seeking a skilled and experienced Panel Wireman with expertise in Building Management Systems (BMS) to join their growing workshop team at the Hemel Hempstead office. Responsibilities Panel Assembly and Wiring Assemble electrical control panels according to engineering drawings and specifications. Wire control panels meticulously, ensuring accurate connections and adherence to safety standards. Install components such as relays, switches, circuit breakers, and terminal blocks as required.Building Management System Integration: Integrate control panels with Building Management Systems (BMS) for monitoring and control of building systems such as HVAC, lighting, and security. Configure BMS controllers and devices to communicate effectively with the control panels. Troubleshoot and resolve any communication or integration issues between control panels and the BMS.Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of control panels to ensure functionality and adherence to specifications. Perform quality checks on completed panels to verify compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. Document test results and provide detailed reports to engineering and project management teams.Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines. Communicate effectively with team members to provide updates on panel assembly progress and any potential issues encountered. Participate in design reviews and contribute insights to optimize panel design for efficiency and performance.Requirements Proven experience as a Panel Wireman, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components, with the ability to interpret electrical schematics and diagrams. Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and their integration with control panels. Proficiency in wiring techniques, cable routing, and termination methods. Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and diagnose issues effectively. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Willingness to always adhere to safety protocols and standards. Relevant certifications or vocational training in electrical engineering or a related field
