Software Developer in Test - Automation - Globl Org

As a Software Developer in Test , you will play a pivotal role in the engineering function of a scaling business, delivering both manual and automated testing across multiple projects and products.

This hands-on role involves driving a quality-first mindset throughout engineering teams, conducting API tests with AWS, and leveraging Playwright for end-to-end testing. You’ll work extensively with SQL and NoSQL databases while contributing to the transition from predominantly manual testing to a robust automated environment.

Collaborating closely with development teams, you will ensure quality assurance is integrated into every stage of the development process. Your work will focus on implementing best practices and processes that support clean, high-quality code across all platforms.

About you – Key Skills and Experience

  • TypeScript & JavaScript ​: Strong proficiency in TypeScript and solid understanding of JavaScript
  • Automation & Testin g: Skilled in Playwright for UI automation, API automation, and test automation best practices
  • Testing Tool s: Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., CircleCI), and test management tools like X-ray
  • Development & Collaboratio n: Proficient in Git, Jira (or similar tools), and testing RESTful APIs
  • Bonus Skill s: Knowledge of Terraform or infrastructure as code, and familiarity with Jest or similar unit testing frameworks

You must be a great communicator and happy to work in a business that is growing /is transitioning out of Scale phase

You must be technically curious and enjoy working with other people

This is a scale up business with offices across UK, EU, US, middle east, China and India. They employ 1000 people and are looking to grow their technical teams significantly during 2024.They work in the multi-billion- dollar data and insight industry, supplying the financial services industry.

The money

£65,000 + 10% bonus + 30 days + great benefit

The location

Hybrid 1 days a week in London or remote considered you have to live in the UK.
