Relay is an e-commerce-native logistics network. We are built from the ground up for environmental, social, and economic sustainability. By building from the ground up we are able to entirely rethink both the middle and last mile enabling us to reduce the number of miles driven to deliver each parcel, lower carbon emissions, and lower costs, all while channelling funds to community members.
At the same time, we’re fixing the last broken aspect of e-commerce for consumers: delivery. To orchestrate this complex ballet, Relay relies on a wide range of technologies, from advanced routing and planning to sophisticated user experiences that guide our team members on the ground.
The Commercial Analyst will play a vital role in supporting the sales and account management function by providing in-depth analysis and insights to inform strategic decision-making processes. This position requires a strong background in commercial analysis, excellent modelling skills, and a deep understanding of market dynamics. The Commercial Analyst will collaborate closely with the commercial team to analyse and segment the market, create target prospect lists, set pricing strategies, contract renegotiations and support the contract win process.
Market Analysis and Segmentation:
Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify key market segments and trends.
Collaborate with the sales team to identify target markets and prioritise opportunities for growth.

Utilise advanced modelling techniques and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, BI) to create targeted prospect lists.
Identify and prioritise potential clients based on strategic criteria and market segmentation analysis.
Contract Win Support:
Provide analytical support to the sales team during the contract negotiation and bidding process.
Develop financial models and business cases to support contract proposals.
Analyse contract terms and conditions to ensure alignment with pricing strategies and profitability targets.

Generate regular reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales metrics.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on analysis of sales data and market trends.
Present findings to senior management and sales leadership to inform strategic decision-making.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
3+ years of experience in commercial analysis, business intelligence, or related field.
Strong proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Business Intelligence software).
Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of market dynamics.
