It's Monday... and you're heading to work, the same place you've been for a few years now...

Marketing is established, and it feels more like 'maintenance' than progress.

You sigh as you pull up into the car park.... you don't need to move roles, but you could be doing more... you could be progressing and developing something further... you could be excited again.

N8 are recruiting for one of it's key clients, a business synonymous with quality and premium performance. They're hugely successful and one of the major players with a dominant market share in their space from years as an industry leader and pioneer.

Renowned for employee satisfaction and able to attract the very best marketers from across the UK, this FMCG business is seeking an International Marketing Manager to spearhead go to market strategies outside of the UK, working within a marketing function of 15 people.

You'll bring:

  • International marketing experience - consumer and ideally FMCG
  • Experience of trade marketing and ideally a history of building solid plans with distributors
  • An awareness of digital - This doesn't have to be really in depth, but you'll understand the very big part digital has to play when moving into new and emerging markets. Amazon Marketplace exposure would be good, though not entirely essential given they have an 'Amazon specific function'.
  • A strong brand focus and the ability to think creatively, and sympathetically when looking at international trends and data.
  • Some management experience, as this role will have a Brand Specialist reporting into it.
  • Commercial focus, and the ability to look at operations inline with ROI and budget spend.
  • You'll work on social, brand, digital, direct campaigns, e-marketing and events.

The role will be varied, and will cover all elements of the mix... relying on solid project management, a keen eye for detail and a vision of what the business could be doing better to establish themselves in new markets outside of the UK. One particular area of interest is GTM strategies, so if you've launched FMCG or consumer shelf-life products into Europe before, you'll stack highly against the competition.
