Our Client is seeking an IT Support Engineer who is responsible for providing international customer support, addressing general IT issues, and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction. This position requires a candidate with strong technical skills, excellent communication, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibili ties

  • Customer Support: Address customer inquiries via phone and internet, resolving technical issues and delivering excellent customer service.
  • System Management: Manage and maintain systems running on Windows Server 2019, Windows 7, 8, and 10, as well as MacOS and Linux.
  • Networking: The role involves troubleshooting and configuring TCP/IP, IMAP, SMTP, DNS, networking, and firewalls, as well as managing Hyper-V and other virtual machine environments.
  • Website and Domain Management: Oversee domain names, websites, and email systems, ensuring they are secure and operating smoothly.
  • Hardware Maintenance: Deploy new hardware, maintains existing equipment, and ensures all systems are up-to-date.
  • Backup and Testing: The role includes managing backup processes and conducting regular testing to ensure data integrity and system reliability.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for IT processes and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

Education: The ideal candidate holds an HND or Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.

Technical Knowledge: The role requires proficiency with Windows Server 2019, Windows 7, 8, and 10, MacOS, Linux, TCP/IP, IMAP, SMTP, DNS, networking, firewalls, Hyper-V, virtual machine management, and the Internet.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as the engineer must explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Problem-Solving: The IT Support Engineer must be able to troubleshoot complex issues and develop practical solutions.

Attention to Detail: The role demands careful attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality.

Location Requirement: The engineer must be based within a 20-mile radius of the Berkhamsted office.
