LNJ Recruitment is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Senior on behalf of our esteemed client, a rapidly expanding independent accounting and business advisory firm recognized within the Top 100 Accountancy Firms in the UK.

Position Overview:

- Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

- Kettering (Flexible Working / Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and own your work, ensuring efficient deadline management and constant communication.

- Act as the primary day-to-day contact for a small portfolio of clients, facilitating smooth operations and identifying opportunities for additional billable work.

- Prepare and review accounts, VAT returns, and tax computations for a diverse clientele, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

- Assist clients with financial record-keeping, transitioning to Cloud-based solutions.

- Prepare corporation tax returns, personal tax returns, capital gains tax computations, IHT, and undertake specific actions as required (with opportunities for additional training).

- Engage in networking and business generation activities under senior team members' guidance.

- Support a focused client service team, responding to queries professionally and timely, and assist with ad-hoc advisory work.

- Train and mentor junior team members.

Qualifications, Experience, and Knowledge Required:

- ACA/ACCA fully or part-qualified, AAT qualified, or equivalent experience.

- Demonstrated experience in preparing accounts and related business tax computations.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and consider the bigger picture.

- Proven verbal and written communication skills.

- Must live within commuting distance of the office and be willing to work outside normal hours as required.
