Landscape & Grounds Maintenance Operative

Contract: Permanent, Full-time
31 per hour
You’ll join the UK’s largest family-owned construction, infrastructure, and support services business. You’ll learn about the job, on the job, while we support you through further studies, so you’ll gain qualifications as well as work experience and skills. As a Landscape and Grounds Maintenance Apprentice you will be responsible for:
# To help within a small team of employees, carry out a range of landscaping and grounds maintenance works on a daily basis - grass cutting, hedge and shrub pruning, turfing, raking, edging, weeding, sweeping, litter picking, chemical application, initial and overmarking of sports areas, 3G Brushing etc.
# To ensure a high-quality grounds maintenance service, taking every opportunity to enhance the image and reputation of the company.
# In conjunction with the supervisor or team leader, the completion of all documents relating to the role - daily work records, timesheets, vehicle/equipment defect reporting, site-specific risk assessments, team briefs, tool box talks, etc.
Minimum Nat 4 (Nat 5 preferred) / GCSE in English and Maths (grades 4-9)
A keen interest in a career in grounds maintenance and soft landscaping
UK Driving Licence is essential
