Job Description Financial Accounting Manager / Finance Manager

Join the UK's leading independent financial advisory and wealth management firms Trace is recruiting a commercial Financial Accounting Manager / Finance Manager to join our Finance team in Birmingham. As the Financial Accounting Manager / Finance Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of acquisitions, ensuring timely reporting, and providing valuable insights to stakeholders. You'll be responsible for overseeing monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and EBITDA reporting, as well as participating in acquisition accounting activities and post-acquisition integration.

Produce monthly acquisition reporting within agreed timeframes.
- Prepare/review monthly management accounts with variance analysis.
- Conduct thorough balance sheet reconciliations.
- Participate in acquisition accounting and post-acquisition integration.
- Monitor and report financial performance post-acquisition.
- Oversee subsidiary accounts integration into Group Finance function.
- Review acquisition completion accounts prior to signoff.
- Continuous improvement of accounting practices and processes.
- Support subsidiary finance personnel with process improvements.
- Monthly review of subsidiary payment processes and bank reconciliations.
- Assist in subsidiary payroll review and integration.

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
- Experience in financial services industry preferred.
- Experience with acquisition accounting and consolidation processes desirable.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Effective organisational and planning skills, with ability to meet deadlines.
- Training and qualifications support.
