Job Purpose

Engineering Planning Analyst is:

  1. Responsible for all assigned areas of the project engineering schedule and project controls for REMS engineering.
  2. Responsible to suggest and implement improvements for the alignment and standardization of the Engineering Planning organization.
  3. Collaborates with employees of assigned teams.
  4. Works with management to implement and support global policies, regional policies, and best practices for Engineering Project Planning and Project Management/Project Coordination in support of successful execution of projects and True North Industrialization.
  5. Prepares/consolidates reports including consolidated E-Milestones, schedule analyses, project controls, and resource planning as required.
  6. Possesses a service-oriented business mentality and models this behavior.
Job Description

Strategic Initiatives

  1. Supports Engineering Sales and Operations Planning across subsystems as applicable.
  2. Responsible to assist in the development, implementation & alignment of engineering planning and scheduling systems, tools and processes across all EMS subsystems units.
  3. Reports on relevant performance metrics and dashboards for the Engineering Community and EMS Leadership, ensuring execution remains top priority and to identify opportunities to improve customer success globally.
  4. Anticipates internal and external environmental challenges with impact on the organization and recommends best practice solutions.

Tactical Support of local and global teams

  1. Monitors project performance metrics and collects recurring Engineering issues to facilitate the escalation help chain.
  2. Provide expertise and support the troubleshooting of specific Planning challenges during products & projects execution.

You are meant for this job if:

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  2. At least five years’ experience in Engineering Planning, Project Scheduling, Project Planning, Operations.
  3. At least five years in Subsea Oil and Gas industry preferred.
  4. Primavera scheduling experience preferred.

Preferred qualifications and experiences

  1. Demonstrates a solid understanding of Project Management and IEPCI techniques and standards.
  2. Ability to analyze trends or deviations from standards and recommend creative and unique cross functional solutions.

Environment and Physical Demands

Work Environment

Spends majority of time in office. Exposed to possible shop or lab hazards including high noise and heavy equipment when in those work areas.

Frequent sitting and operating a computer. Fast paced atmosphere with multiple priorities and constant change. Some international travel required.
