There is a particular problem in the world of packaging where single use plastics and damaging materials are still the cheapest way to mass package products. Working with a recently patented machine, they are infamous for their designs both in commercial and household items, and are constantly being lauded in international press and packaging award shows for their inventions.

Having built a machine that can mass produce their packaging material, the team focus on UK and overseas installations but are now looking to build on their success and create a new packaging assembly machine that will speed the production up.
This project is due to last for 1 year and the business are offering a fixed term contract for 12 months to begin with – however, this is likely to spill into a full time position as they have multiple projects lined up for next year already.

For this plan to come to fruition the team need a principal electrical design engineer to help design, build and test this new machine.

Naturally, if this is something you’ve done before for a food based/drink based manufacturing business then you’ll be the well suited to help the team. Accompanying these responsibilities are a number of requirements to include a thorough understanding of UKCA / CE marking PUWER and machine certification, knowledge of different motor drive technologies such as servo, dc, Stepper and AC motors and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing machine electrical systems from concept.

The company can offer a competitive salary as well as access to their full benefits including; 5% pension, bonus scheme of up to 20% of base salary, life insurance 4x base salary, 25 days holiday and some flexible working too.
