Trustee / Treasurer

The Jabali Initiative is looking for a Treasurer to join its Board of Trustees. Jabali is a new charity working in the UK and Kenya with a mission to educate and empower survivors and individuals at high-risk of sexual and gender-based violence to promote their safety, autonomy and economic independence and accelerate the achievement of gender equality. Its services include an education and empowerment programme, training for organisations, advocacy and a community platform. The programme topics include legal rights, understanding gender-based violence, skills development, women's health and mental health.

The Treasurer will support the Board of Trustees to carry out their financial responsibilities. Responsibilities may include:

• Advising the Board on their financial responsibilities
• Helping to prepare budgets, accounts and financial reports
• Overseeing the preparation and scrutiny of annual accounts

We are seeking proactive individuals to support a new charity in its early stages of growth. A willingness to support our fundraising efforts is desirable.
