If these values are important to you, and you are looking to take the next step in your career with an established and growing company, we’re delighted to share a newly created opportunity to join the Sword team in the role of Consulting Engineer. This is a field-based project role so time will be spent between the office and client sites. We are seeking someone with exceptional technical deployment and troubleshooting skills covering a wide range of technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network security and associated technologies and be able to demonstrate a logical and methodical approach to design, implementation and troubleshooting. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and be able to lead projects from design through to implementation and take ownership of problems to ensure the necessary steps are taken to diagnose and troubleshoot issues.

  1. Project Engineering, including but not limited to Low Level Design activity, implementation services and consultancy services.
  2. Provide expert level support to all clients and act as an internal point of escalation for all support related incidents where required.
  3. Troubleshooting and diagnosis of all network and security related incidents.
  4. Mentoring other members of the team.
  5. Participating in the on-call rota.

  1. Minimum of 5 Years’ experience in a similar role or field based / consulting role.
  2. CCNP, Routing, Switching & Security with Data Centre experience in Nexus.
  3. Strong understanding of network security principles and associated technologies.
