Fitness and Aquatics Therapy Assistant Location : On-site, North Chailey, BN8 4EF
Hours : Flexible rota (37 hours per week)

As a Fitness and Aquatics Therapy Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting both Aquatics Therapy and Fitness sessions, ensuring high standards of personal care, safety, and enjoyment for the children and young adults they support.
Assisting and instructing young people with varying abilities during Aquatics Therapy and gym sessions.
Supporting therapy programs designed by their NHS Physio team and maintaining accurate records of each young persons progress.
Facilitating fun and engaging fitness activities in the gym and ensuring activity schedules meet the needs of their Childrens Home.
Providing personal care before and after sessions, assisting young people with changing and showering.
GCSEs Grade C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
Recognised fitness qualification (Level 2 or above).
Basic knowledge of Health & Safety guidelines and responsibilities.
Swimming ability and fitness level to meet National Pool Lifeguard Qualification standards.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or complex needs (desirable).
National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (desirable).
ASA/STA Level 1 or 2 in Teaching Aquatics (desirable).
