At Saint Gobain Construction Chemicals we are looking for a Quality & Process Control Manager to come and join our production plant in Dukinfield, Greater Manchester

This role reports into the Operations Director with a dotted line to the Managing Director.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. 5 days onsite.

Saint-Gobain Construction Chemicals is a newly formed business within Saint-Gobain, combining the recent Chryso and GCP acquisitions. You will join the organisation and inspire them to preform to their best abilities., continuously improve the quality and process performance to deliver compliance and a quality product for our customer at minimal cost through process optimisation within a best-in-class Quality & Process Control framework. In addition to ensure accreditation to ISO 9001 is maintained at plant level.

You'll be working closely with the site team, leading activities supporting our Quality Control & Quality Assurance journey .

What we're looking for?

Quality and Process management in a manufacturing environment (incl. Failure Modes & Effects Analysis & Control Plan

Working knowledge and understanding of the regulations, quality standards applicable to product plus the requirements of ISO9001:2015 and Factory Process Control.

Qualified to Degree Level in Scientific or Technical Discipline or equivalent academic and/or professional experience in a similar role.

Background in Continuous Improvement/Lean/Sigma/ Problem Solving, Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

Good communication skills across all levels of the business and a proactive approach

Health & Safety

Demonstrated Leadership skills.

What you will be doing?

Initially look at current quality and control processes on the plant and then create a process plan to implement and improve quality processes.

Oversees the co-ordination training and learning opportunities to ensure people are successful within their role in respect of quality.

Collaborates closely with other departments to promote the importance of quality and process knowledge and considerations in all activities

Encourages and be a role model a positive and proactive attitude towards systems management

Consistently deliver reliable quality products as defined by our customers and ensures the success of new product/service trials through operational flexibility.
