One the UK’s fasted growing corporate and retail banks are looking for someone to join them on an initial 12 month fixed term contract, with the potential of a permanent conversion at the end. This person will have responsibility for enhancing analytics and reporting on both the Bank’s interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB) as well as liquidity risk

Role Description
  • Assist with and analyse regular liquidity forecasting and reporting of key metrics for the Bank
  • Analyse IRRBB and implement appropriate hedging ensuring compliance with limits and controls
  • Monitoring and production of metrics and proposing necessary action to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory limits
  • Assist with producing and development of Capital, Funding & Liquidity processes of the Bank (including ICAAP, ILAAP, stress testing and cashflow modelling)
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc treasury and management information reports required for ALCO meetings
  • Undertake maintenance and documentation of the Departmental Procedure Manual and any other relevant manuals as required
  • Identify data limitations and suggest enhancements to it to in order to automate processes
  • Support the completion of treasury related regulatory reporting returns ensuring integrity of data and enhancing efficient solutions
  • Responsible for the presentation and preparation of internal reports and team meeting slides
  • Lead projects as required and provide cover for other members of the ALM team
Role Requirements
  • ALM or Liquidity experience gained in a retail or corporate banking environment ideally
  • Good understanding of how a financial services treasury operates
  • Strong data management and analytical skills, including previous use of Microsoft Office package
  • An ability to produce meaningful management information
  • Effective communication skills for written and verbal reporting and the ability to present to group meetings
  • Commitment to deliver and maintain high standards
  • Embrace change and influence and encourage others
  • Effectively prioritise tasks to ensure delivery meets critical deadlines

This person will play a key role in driving the strategy of Treasury going forward and will be responsible for implementing and driving change and improvement projects

The team provides deep financial and treasury experience in financial products and markets, risk management, and treasury best practice activities. Part of this team is the Hedging Advisory and Derivative Execution team, which provides expertise on Currency and Interest Rate risks.

They help clients to quantify their financial risks, define appropriate risk management priorities and objectives, structure suitable hedging strategies, and optimise the derivatives execution process to achieve efficiency and savings.
