Our Birmingham based client is currently looking for a Brake Press Toolmaker Setter Operator. They are a machining and fabrication specialist who pride themselves on quality and precision engineering.
Due to expansion and new machinery a great opportunity has become available for an experienced confident Brake Press Toolmaker Setter Operator to join their workforce.
The Brake Press Toolmaker role requires a highly skilled professional responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of brake press machinery.
Utilize your mastery of Brake Press operations to fabricate parts to exact specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure peak performance of equipment.
- Uphold our commitment to quality control, ensuring every product meets our rigorous standards.
Preparing the brake press machine for operation by installing and aligning the necessary tooling, dies and fixtures. This involves interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to ensure the correct setup for each job.
- Operate the brake press machine to bend or form metal sheets according to precise measurements and specifications outlined in blueprints or work orders.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery to keep it in optimal working condition. Monitor production process to ensure parts meet quality standard. Previous proven experience working in metal fabrication, machining and manufacturing environments as a Brake Press Toolmaker working in an automotive field would be desirable.

The working hours for the successful Brake Press Toolmaker are:
Monday to Thursday 07:00am - 16:00pm and an early finish on a Friday 07:00am - 12:00pm
The rate of pay for the Brake Press Toolmaker is dependent on experience varying from £16.00 per hour to £18.00 per hour, this will be discussed during interview process and based upon a short working trial.
