Vellos has a mission to inject innovation into the life sciences. It is founded and driven by two executives who have many years of entrepreneurial experience and a base at the University of Cambridge: Tony Kouzarides, Professor at Cambridge and serial entrepreneur, and Steph Avraamides, experienced in start-up pre-acceleration, acceleration and investment. The successful candidate will work closely with the executives, leveraging their deep-domain expertise and networks to drive industry innovation in the life sciences. 

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relations:

  • Forge and nurture robust client relationships to understand and meet hiring demands.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to craft detailed job descriptions and ideal candidate profiles for both full-time and part-time positions. 

Talent Acquisition and Management:

  • Proactively source and secure top talent for opportunities, harnessing our extensive networks and events.
  • Perform interviews to evaluate the qualifications, skills, and cultural alignment of candidates.
  • Follow-up and be the first point of contact for clients post- placement

Recruitment Strategy Development:

  • Innovate and execute cutting-edge recruitment strategies, tapping into our large network for candidate attraction.
  • Keep a pulse on industry trends to refine our recruitment methodology continuously.

Team Collaboration:

  • Engage with the Vellos team to drive unified recruitment efforts, enriched by our collective knowledge and high-profile networking opportunities.
  • Contribute insights and best practices to bolster team performance and recruitment outcomes.

We are looking for:

  • Demonstrated recruitment expertise in the Life Sciences OR recruitment expertise whilst holding a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related subject.
  • An in-depth understanding of life science roles and market demands.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
