Engineering Team Leader – Guildford, Surrey £38,000–£45,000 expected earnings + 10% bonus + great benefits Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm - expect 2 nights away from home If you're an experienced engineer who enjoys leading from the front and taking pride in delivering high-quality work, this role could be a great fit. We're recruiting an Engineering Team Leader for a specialist provider supporting the energy, waste and biomass sectors. You'll travel to client sites across the UK (with overnight stays away), work hands-on with specialist equipment, and lead a small, motivated team. Please note: While you'll receive excellent training, you must have an engineering, mechanical maintenance, or plant/machinery maintenance background. This is essential for success in the role. A genuinely hands-on role working with specialist plant and equipment The chance to lead, mentor and support a team of two Plenty of variety — each project and site offers something different The ability to take ownership, make decisions and improve processes UK-wide travel with all expenses covered Consistent hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm Your Responsibilities Working directly on client sites using specialist equipment Leading, motivating and developing your team Managing tools, stock, paperwork and site processes Maintaining excellent Health & Safety standards Conducting site audits and driving continuous improvement Building strong customer relationships What We're Looking For Essential: Engineering or plant/equipment maintenance background Strong leadership qualities Experience working with strict Health & Safety standards Confident working independently once trained Full UK driving licence + right to work in the UK Happy to travel from Guildford to client sites and stay away when required A positive attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn are just as important as technical skills.
