Job Title: Non Dev Infrastructure - Cloud Platform/Migration Engineer

Location: Knutsford (Radbroke)

Contract: Six Months

Hybrid working

Inside IR35

Role Overview:


This role is key in ensuring the successful migration and transformation of our infrastructure to a cloud-based platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure engineering, cloud platforms, security, and strategic thinking, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions while maintaining risk and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end migration of infrastructure systems to a cloud platform.
  • Analyze and document infrastructure requirements to align with business needs and technical strategies.
  • Design and implement secure cloud-based systems, ensuring they meet governance, risk, and control requirements.
  • Collaborate with various teams, including IT, security, and development, to facilitate change and transformation initiatives.
  • Drive innovation through strategic thinking and problem-solving, balancing business and technology requirements.
  • Conduct data modeling and business process re-engineering (BPR) to optimize cloud migration.
  • Provide guidance on IT governance, ensuring compliance with risk and control frameworks.
  • Utilize Scrum or agile methodologies to drive effective project delivery.
  • Perform cost-benefit analysis (CBA) to evaluate technical solutions and provide business value.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in Infrastructure Engineering with a strong focus on Cloud Platform migration.
  • Solid understanding of Security Systems and Risk & Controls in cloud environments.
  • Expertise in Requirements Analysis, Systems Design, and IT Governance.
  • Experience with Scrum or other agile development frameworks.
  • Ability to think strategically and innovate in the face of complex challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead Change and Transformation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in Business Process Re-Engineering (BPR) and Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA).
  • Business acumen with the ability to align technical solutions to business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) are highly desirable.
  • Experience with IT Governance, Risk, and Control frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST is a plus.
