Associate Underwriter

We are looking for an Associate Underwriter to join our Small Business team based in Redhill.
As part of our Small Business Broker team, you’ll play a key role in supporting small businesses by managing renewals and Mid-Term Adjustments (MTAs) through the Acturis eTrade platform. You’ll take ownership of your renewal portfolio — proactively driving retention and performance, and building strong, lasting relationships with brokers to deliver the right solutions for customers. Every day will bring a mix of analytical thinking and relationship-building, as you evaluate risk, make decisions, and help achieve key business goals.
As you continue to grow your ability to assess risk and manage renewals, you’ll be making a real contribution to the sustainable profitability and long-term success of Travelers.
Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility to employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy. This entails full time employees working three days a week in the office and two days at home (or pro rata for part-time employees). This policy may be changed at the Company’s discretion.
Underwrite and negotiate routine renewal risks and MTAs to minimise risk and maximise profitability.
Proactively manage your portfolio, ensuring key performance indicators are consistently achieved.
Take corrective action in collaboration with your Manager / Team based on identified risk characteristics.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners within the business unit and across the enterprise.
Foster and maintain relationships with brokers by phone, email or other communication channels to deliver a smooth renewal experience.
