We are seeking an experienced Fibre Splicers to join our dynamic workforce. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in splicing and will be willing to work across networks and locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform live network fusion splicing using Fujikura 70s or similar equipment.
• Splice and test external optical fibres in compliance with quality standards using OTDR/ILM/PMD/CD/EXFO FTB200 or similar tools.
• Work alone or as part of a team to achieve targets and KPIs.
• Adhere to Health and Safety legislation.
• Use site proposal/risk assessment and method statements (RAMS) to understand cabinet locations and fibre connections.
• Connect fibres within the new infrastructure using methods including Fibre Panels, Blown Fibre Tube boxes (BFT), and Node (Splicing Distribution Point) installation within chambers/ducts.
• Test using optical time-domain reflectors (OTDR), fibre light pens, and power meters.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Proven track record of fibre optic splicing and site experience across multiple networks.
• Must hold BT accreditations such as SA002 or SA001.
• Proficient with design schematics, duct diagrams, and work instructions.
• Ability to produce, update, and interpret records of daily work logs, data recordings, and network design maps.
• Full UK driving licence and valid NRSWA street works certification.
