Interim Chief Human Resources Officer

Up to £1500 daily rate

Partner Interim are engaged with a Consumer Brand business based in Central London. The firm is fast becoming a global leader in their sector due to their brand centric focus and has grown substantially over the past 5 years following some large acquisitions and expansion of their offering.

Reporting to the CEO, this role will lead on the delivery of the overall Group’s agenda relating to HR, embedding the strategy for the wider organisational change. You will review current measures and their effectiveness, identify necessary changes and incorporate best practices to deliver global solutions.

Key tasks in this role will include:

  • Leading the design and implementation of HR transformation initiatives to align with organisational objectives and drive the strategic agenda of the business.
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of current HR processes, systems, and practices, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Driving the adoption of digital HR solutions and ensuring seamless integration with existing technologies to future-proof HR operations.
  • Aligning HR strategies with the organisation's culture, values, and long-term vision, fostering a high-performance and inclusive workplace.
  • Managing change effectively, including stakeholder engagement, communication strategies, and embedding a culture of adaptability to support transformation efforts.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to shape and execute strategic workforce planning initiatives that align talent with business priorities.
  • Mentoring and upskilling HR teams to embed new practices, champion cultural alignment, and enhance operational efficiency.

Ideal Candidate

  • Professional or academic qualification, e.g. CIPD, and/or extensive demonstrable experience of working in a strategic HR capacity
  • Excellent understanding of broader operational HR
  • Experience in designing, managing and implementing HR transformation projects
  • Independent thinking required to define how the strategy can be delivered in practice, with a need to prepare and communicate plans, prioritise and sequence projects and activity appropriately
  • Previous board experience is highly advantageous
  • Extensive change management experience and proven delivery of a ‘cultural shift’
  • Able to draw connections between the strategy and tactical action plans
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively, developing solutions & plans with different inputs, escalating risks/issues, meeting deadlines, and achieving quality outcomes in their domain of work.
