Groomfield recruitment are looking for a skilled Reach truck driver to join our clients team in Tamworth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating the reach truck and other material handling equipment to ensure the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. Pay rate - £12.58 Hours- 1 WEEK ROATION SHIFT PATTERN 6AM-2.30PM // 2.15PM-10.45PM Duties

  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload materials from lorries.
  • Manage inventory using a warehouse management system, ensuring accurate tracking of stock levels.
  • Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Handle materials in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying the accuracy of shipments against documentation.
  • Conduct basic maths calculations for inventory management and order processing.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and enhance productivity.
Qualifications
  • Reach truck license
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform equipment repairs is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with materials handling techniques and warehouse management systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads safely, with a focus on maintaining proper lifting techniques.
  • Basic maths skills for inventory tracking and order processing are required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for success in this role.
  • A valid forklift operator certification is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided for the right candidate.
