This expansion has cemented their reputation for procurement excellence. Now, they are on the lookout for a driven Direct Procurement Category Buyer to join their elite team and propel their pursuit of best-in-class status.

They offer a rare opportunity to accelerate your career progression with comprehensive end-to-end procurement exposure and CIPS sponsorships. You'll gain invaluable experience that positions you to thrive in any organization, with previous placement progressing to category manager status within 18-24 months,

As a Direct Procurement Category Buyer, you will:

  • Support the end-to-end procurement across their direct consumables, aiming to deliver on key costs savings and commercial success.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to pinpoint company needs and support the creation of cutting-edge procurement strategies.
  • Uncover growth opportunities by conducting comprehensive market analyses.

Direct Procurement Category Buyer requirements:

  • Strong exposure to end-to-end procurement, with experience engaging with stakeholders and negotiating with suppliers.
  • Good academic background, having studied to A-Level standard, and ideally having obtained a degree.

This is a hybrid role, where you will be based 3 days a week (or as many more as you prefer) at their headquarters in the West Midlands, and the rest from home.
