Product Analyst - CRS Team

Location: London/Nottingham/Hybrid: 4 day week plus regular home working is common (1-2 days in the office) but we do love to see each other in person to collaborate

Job Summary / Role purpose:

Joining the Cost Recovery Services team, responsible for managing the Energy Market Datahub (EMDH) for the energy market, your primary role will be supporting EMDH stakeholders with the definition and delivery of enhancements to the products and services. You’ll work collaboratively and become an expert in a growing business so you can ensure project deliverables will add maximum value and contribute to our business strategy.

What you will do:

You will be responsible for:

  • Working closely across business and external stakeholders.
  • Conducting research, information gathering and updating technical and business documents.
  • Working with the business and customers to develop business requirements and document technical requirements with the support of the technical teams.
  • Document and analyse as-is processes, understand the impact of business, customer, technology and industry changes, making recommendations for improvement or provide impact assessment.
  • Support Project, Product Development and Data Strategy work.
  • Support solution design across multiple projects or smaller pieces of work.

Skills & Knowledge you will need:

  • Previous experience working as a Business Analyst/ Product Analyst/ Product
  • Experience working with 3rd party providers to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Experience in eliciting, detailing and managing business requirements.
  • Able to clearly document processes to suit business and technical audiences.
  • Experience collaborating with Solution Architects to ensure solutions devised meet the needs of the business.
  • Support the Project Managers as required by feeding into project and business readiness plans.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Software packages (Excel/Word/Visio/PowerPoint).
  • A strong working knowledge of Business Analysis techniques.
  • Ability to work flexibly when reasonably required.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of electricity and gas retail market data catalogues and data transfer is desirable but not essential.
