Assembly Team Leader Are you a hands-on expert in product assembly with a knack for leading and inspiring others? We’re looking for a skilled Assembly Operative who can not only assemble products with precision but also bring team leadership experience to the table. Location: Outskirts of Ely, Cambridgeshire Hours: Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 16.30pm, Friday 7.30am – 12.30pm Hourly Rate to be discussed at pre screening Benefits: Private Medical, Dental, Optical and healthcare scheme, Life Insurance, Income Protection, discounts with local companies, summer and staff events, pension scheme, long service awards, training and development plans. Duration: Permanent Daily duties:

  • Undertaking 121’s,RTWs, Disciplinary meetings and develop ways to promote within.
  • Work alongside your team is assembling products and leading by example in accurately following SOPs
  • Lead team meetings to communicate overall team performance
  • Work closely with fellow team leaders to ensure production flow is running smoothly and implement new ideas to improve products
  • Ensure and Monitor 5S Activities, making sure all tool and jigs are in the right place
  • Offer training plans and manage progression within the team
What we are looking for:
  • Management/Team Leading experience within a manufacturing setting
  • An understanding of mechanical/Electronic assembly
  • LEAN manufacturing experience desirable
  • Detail oriented and works in a structured and organised manner
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to train, mentor and present new ideas
  • Computer literate and able to use ERP systems
  • Ability to motivate others within the team
