Role

We are looking to hire two Research Analysts to join our growing analyst team. At Assembly, we provide subscription-based and custom research on regulatory and policy issues affecting the tech and telecoms sectors. 

Are you interested in competition issues arising from consolidation among mobile operators, such as with the proposed Three/Vodafone merger in the UK? Have you followed debates around ensuring safety online and tackling the dominance of online platforms? Or maybe you’re curious about how AI will be regulated?

We welcome recent graduates and/or those with some work experience already to apply for this entry-level role. This opportunity is subject to a three-month probationary period and could lead to a permanent position at Assembly. All academic backgrounds are welcome, but you should be a keen follower of developments in communications markets and the digital economy, with some understanding of the relevant regulatory and policy issues.

Responsibilities

  • Producing content for our subscription clients
  • Assisting with client enquiries on research that we’ve published
  • Supporting the delivery of independent pieces of custom research
  • Assisting with the promotion of Assembly and marketing of its services
  • Developing knowledge by attending events and following industry developments and trends

Requirements

  • Strong writing skills
  • Awareness of major themes and trends affecting telecoms and technology markets
  • An interest in presenting content and data in a visually interesting way
  • Ability to communicate thoughts in a clear, concise and compelling way
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • University degree
  • Willingness to learn
  • Right to work in the UK
