About Us:

Legado is an enterprise-backed, high-growth technology company looking to expand our team with a Junior Business Analyst. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organization that values innovation, creativity, and a proactive mindset. As a Junior Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team in the development and implementation of our B2B SaaS platform.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Graduate Analyst to provide vital support to our senior solution consultants and the broader analysis and design teams. You will be involved in analysing business opportunities, gathering and documenting requirements, supporting software testing, and managing stakeholder relationships. This role will provide hands-on experience working with our B2B SaaS platform and associated implementations and deployments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Business Analysis Activities: Analyse existing and future business opportunities for Legado and applying our technology solutions effectively.
  • Requirements Gathering and Documentation: Run workshops to elicit requirements and understand business needs, documenting these requirements in the form of Agile Stories and Acceptance Criteria. Ensuring requirements are captured and kept-up to date in various analysis artefacts and product backlog.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage communication with various project stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are understood and addressed.
  • Manual Testing Support: Support and collaborate with the test team on test activities to validate software solutions, ensuring they meet documented requirements and quality standards.
  • Agile Methodology Support: Help manage the product backlog, collaborate with design teams to formulate user stories, and provide support to the development team during the delivery phase.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior solution consultants, technical teams, and external partners to support successful project delivery.
  • Azure DevOps Environment: Gain hands-on experience working within the Microsoft Azure DevOps environment to support project management and development activities.
  • Agile Practices: Support the facilitation of daily standups, sprint planning sessions, and other Agile ceremonies to ensure team alignment and adherence to Agile principles.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with analysis techniques and methodologies, contributing to continuous improvement in team processes and ways of working.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated interest in business analysis, with some experience or understanding of project management principles.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  • A self-starter with a strong drive, eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work on multiple projects at the same time and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to step in and support other teams, such as testing, when needed, showing a flexible and team-oriented approach to achieving project goals.

Ideal Qualifications and Experience

  • MSc / BSc in Information Technology Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience or academic knowledge in IT systems functional analysis, preferably within tech or digital financial services.
  • Experience in engaging and communicating with different project stakeholders.
  • Willingness to support IT teams during testing, delivery, and deployment of software solutions.
  • 2+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

What's in it for You?

  • Work from our Edinburgh-based office, with various perks including coffee, fruit, breakfasts, and team days.
  • Be part of a high-growth, high-energy start-up environment.
  • Enjoy 33 days of annual leave (including a birthday day off and flexibility to choose if you take bank holidays or not).
  • Benefit from a cycle-to-work scheme.
  • Opportunities to participate in Legado's Enterprise Management Incentive (EMI) scheme, for share options.
  • Work with modern, cloud-based technology and the latest tools (including Azure DevOps, Figma, GitHub CoPilot, and more).
  • Access to professional development opportunities with an allocated budget for training, courses, certifications, and more, offering complete flexibility to choose what is best for you
