Rate: Umbrella pay is £700.00 a day

Overview

This role is to support our client in Finance Transformation project and provide backfill support where required.

Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of our client’s Finance transformation project for Syndicate’s 1183 and 2019. including:
  1. Ledger transition from SUN to SAP, including conversion and cut-over
  2. Set up of operational processes and controls – including journals, reconciliations and ensuing documentation is in place for key processes and controls
  3. Lloyd’s reporting build from SAP FW
  4. Migration of EUCs from our client’s to the client’s networks
  5. Support on Lloyd’s reporting changes and Blueprint 2

  • Provide backfill support to the Syndicate finance team, where required:
  1. Ensuring complete, accurate and timely syndicate reporting:
  2. Assisting in the preparation of the quarterly submissions to our client
  3. Supporting Lloyd’s regulatory reporting, including QMA, QMB, Pillar 3, GQD, TPD, international, tax and SITUS reporting
  4. Assisting with additional adhoc reporting
  5. Ledger maintenance including quarterly preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Lloyd’s market experience – essential
  • Insurance experience – essential
  • Qualified Accountant - preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills essential
  • Good knowledge of US, UK GAAP and Lloyd’s regulatory reporting rules
  • Good knowledge of financial processes and controls
  • Good knowledge of Lloyd’s accounting and processes
  • Good communication skills
  • Numerate and good analytical skills
  • Team focussed, personable and willing to get involved in new areas
  • Ability to coach and develop more junior members of the team
