KBRA (Kroll Bond Rating Agency, LLC) is seeking a Lead Ratings Analyst for the RMBS team in either Dublin or our London office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Project manage the ratings process from beginning to end. Help develop new set of RMBS assumptions/methodologies to assess mortgage portfolios or other asset types for rating RMBS in European jurisdictions and regularly review and update existing methodologies.
  • Good understanding of credit risk concepts, mortgage products and market dynamics across European jurisdictions and highly developed quantitative skills. Application of KBRA structured finance methodologies to credit assess mortgage portfolios or other asset types. Quantitative modelling of issuance structures and features and perform cash flows analysis using various applications or using Intex.
  • Prepare credit committee memos around analysis and recommendations. Write presale and new issuance reports. Write commentaries and/or research reports on the RMBS sector across European jurisdictions.
  • Good oral communication skills to present on credit committees, manage expectations of internal stakeholders and external counterparties integral to KBRA ratings’ process and timelines. Communicate with market participants to express KBRA’s credit views and opinions effectively.
  • Surveillance of rated transactions in RMBS and other asset classes.
  • Represent KBRA in operational risk reviews and/or conferences.

Successful candidates will possess the following:

  • Six (6) or more years of business experience.
  • Exposure to RMBS or the rating process for similar asset types.
  • Have client facing experience.
  • Previous due diligence and financial modelling experience and must be comfortable using Microsoft excel, including VBA (Visual Basic for Application), as well as other platforms. You must be able to easily manipulate and format large data sets.
  • Have the ability to analyze, summarize and coherently present in the committee (written & verbal) large amounts of information/data.
  • Be comfortable in a fast paced environment and when necessary be able to work independently against deadlines. Good time management essential.
  • Be able to provide analysis for senior staff in relation to financial structures, collateral analysis and underlying businesses.
  • Have a keen interest in learning more about financial services.
  • Be willing and able to travel freely between EU and UK.
  • Must have securitization experience.
  • Be comfortable in a multinational environment
  • Fluency in a second language is most helpful.
