This role may require multi-site travel and visits at Head office. We are looking for Vocational Tutors with competency at Level 1 across introductory vocational courses on Construction and Plumbing. You may have one competency or multiple. Please note that this position is subject to an Enhanced DBS and security clearance. Full time 37.5 hours per week with a varied working pattern. We would consider part-time. Key Responsibilities:
- Providing high quality teaching in non-accredited introductory theory and practice to adult learners in a secure setting.
- Contributing to curriculum development and adapting curricula to meet learner needs.
- Supporting the development of the whole learner, using contextualised and relevant examples to support learner development in English, maths, citizenship and a range of other topics.
- Supporting high participation and attendance by providing inspiring and engaging sessions.
- Maintaining learner records and information.
- Utilising your knowledge of the relevant sectors and industries to bring the topics to life with your learners.
- Work with key stakeholders to evaluate and develop solutions to ensure high satisfaction rates.
- Maintaining confidentiality with respect to the learners
- Teaching qualification at L3+ (PTLLS/AET+) or minimum 3 years or experience in theory and practical vocational training or education
- Assessor qualification desirable but not essential
- Resilient and able to work independently.
- Learner-focused with the motivation to deliver strong outcomes for individuals and transform lives.
- Highly organised and reliable
- Able to adapt and problem solve.
- Strong IT skills with experience of using MS packages and CRM systems.
- A strong commitment to personal and professional development
