Role Overview:

As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring vehicles meet road safety and environmental standards by conducting thorough and accurate MOT tests. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and detail-oriented professional who is passionate about vehicle safety and providing excellent service to customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.
  • Carry out vehicle inspections and diagnose any issues that may affect roadworthiness.
  • Complete all required documentation and ensure records are up to date.
  • Provide clear, accurate reports on test results and advise customers on necessary repairs or maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Work efficiently and effectively to ensure a smooth workflow and minimal vehicle downtime.
  • Keep up to date with changes in MOT regulations and standards.
Skills & Experience:
  • Fully qualified MOT Tester (class 4, 5, or 7).
  • Previous experience in MOT testing and vehicle inspections.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify mechanical and safety issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to customers.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • A passion for the automotive industry and a commitment to quality service.
