We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant (SEN LSA) to join our team. The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support to pupils with special educational needs, ensuring their safety, well-being, and access to learning opportunities. This role is integral to facilitating the full integration of SEN pupils into classroom activities and the wider school environment.
Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEN, facilitating their full integration into classroom activities.
Work closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and external agencies to support the pupils’ educational and behavioural development.
Monitor and report on the pupils’ progress, contributing to Individual Education Plans (IEP) and annual reviews.
Prepare and adapt learning materials and resources to support the pupils’ engagement and learning.
Promote positive behaviour and assist with conflict resolution in line with school policies.
Participate in professional development and training relevant to the role and SEN practices.
Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting.
A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to working with children.
Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are desirable.
Commitment to the school’s ethos and policies, including safeguarding and child protection.
