Commercial Manager

We are currently looking for a Commercial Manager to join a leading Environmental Consultancy, focussed on the renewable energy market, based in the Edinburgh area. As the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for driving the company's overall commercial activities, including sales, marketing, business development, tendering and business acquisition.
You will provide leadership with the development and execution of the functional strategy covering all elements of sales, marketing and tendering in line with the Company’s 5 year strategic plan. You will establish and develop long-term client relationships (key accounts) including leading the development of new relationships.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your duties as the Commercial Manager will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Lead, coordinate, and prepare the timely submission of tender responses to customers in response to their requests for quotations.
2. Administer supply chain relationships as required by tenders and other general requirements.
3. Provide general sales, business development, commercial and tendering advice as required.
4. Create relationships with, obtain ITTs from and manage key Customers as required
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Commercial Manager, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a Scientific, Engineering or Business related discipline.
2. Proven industry experience in commercial management within an environmental consultancy or renewable energy environment.
3. Proven commercial management background in a renewable energy (marine / offshore / scientific) environment.
4. Significant experience leading tenders and and contract administration.
