Facilities Officer - Thornbury
A rare opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Facilities Officer to join our client's dynamic team based in Thornbury. Our client's organisation is a leading government agency that works towards promoting the welfare and betterment of the community. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the management and maintenance of our Council property and facilities in accordance with best practice standards. Manage and monitor Council property and facilities to ensure that they are maintained to the highest standards.
- Develop and implement best practice policies and procedures for the management and maintenance of all Council facilities.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify any potential hazards and implement necessary measures to address them.
- Oversee all building works and contractors to ensure that projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner, and to the required quality standards.
- Manage and monitor contracts for maintenance, cleaning, and other related services to ensure that they are delivering high-quality services in accordance with the contracted terms.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and implement strategies for the efficient use of resources and facilities.
- Maintain accurate records and produce reports as required on the status and maintenance of Council facilities.
- Stay up to date with all relevant legislation and regulations related to facilities management and ensure compliance at all times.
