~ Our engineering team is seeking someone with a passion for designing, prototyping and testing custom components and specialised products. As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will work closely with our cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet all performance, reliability, and safety requirements. A successful candidate will draw upon previous experience using advanced computer-aided design (CAD) software to create niche 3D models and detailed engineering drawings.
Working cross functionally across company to create design specifications
Create and maintain process documentation, project plans and reports
Producing drawings and full assembly packs including bill of materials
Conducting Ansys thermal analysis to optimise part design
Conducting first article assembly builds and testing
Using Solidworks for 3D design

Experience using Solidworks
Degree in Mechanical Design Engineering or other related field
Excellent understanding of mechanical engineering, material properties and machining processes
Familiarity with component design in tight tolerances (for example satellites, cryogenic systems or magnet design)
