Business Manager

Purpose of the role:

You will provide professional and efficient business management to Clan Childlaw’s operations functions. Supportingthe senior management team in ensuring quality delivery of our strategic aims, you will be responsible forfostering an environment of continuous improvement for all our business operations. This is a vital role in abusy team that provides essential support for all the important work of our ambitious organisation.

Person Specification:

This is a great role for an experienced senior administrator or business manager who really wants to get to know howa charity operates across all departments. As you’ll be the lynchpin of our organisation, working with everyoneacross Clan and interacting with key external stakeholders you will be a confident and effective communicator ina variety of settings and formats, including both verbal and written communication. In this varied and fastpaced role, you will use your critical thinking and problem-solving skills to overcome challenges and yourability to think outside the box to come up with new ways of doing things. The Fundraising Manager will manage Clan Childlaw’s existing pipeline of Trusts and Grants, ensuring proposals,applications and impact reports are completed and relationships are developed. The post holder will also beresponsible for identifying new opportunities to grow the pipeline by researching and identifying newprospects.

Person Specification:

Ideally you will have experience of writing compelling funding proposals and managing relationships to securefive-six figure grants and philanthropic gifts. However, while knowledge and experience of fundraising isdesirable, we are happy to consider candidates who can bring relevant transferable skills from other sectorssuch as sales, marketing and business development. LOCATION: Edinburgh or Glasgow – you can choose the location that works best for you, we operate a hybrid workingbetween office and home with 30% of your time expected in offices. There will be travel required between ouroffice locations on a regular basis and throughout Scotland.

Could you be our next Community Justice Manager? We are looking for our next manager to lead and be responsible forall aspects of the delivery and development of Community Justice services. This currently includes bailmentoring, diversion, and arrest referral services, local voluntary throughcare, court peer mentor support andspecialist intervention delivery.

This post is subject to PVG membership. Some evening and weekend work may be required along with participating in aNational On-Call out of hours rota and travel will be required.
