Reed is seeking a dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Cambridge from September on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is ideal for an individual with a passion for technology and education, who is eager to inspire and educate the next generation of computer scientists.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging, and well-planned Computer Science lessons, tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Employ Assessment for Learning strategies to monitor student progress and enhance the learning experience.
  • Set stimulating tasks that pique student interest and contribute to raising standards of attainment, behaviour, and achievement.
  • Align lessons with the agreed curriculum, focusing on developing the full potential of every student.
  • Create a learning environment that values the skills, interests, and experiences of students, encouraging independence in their learning journey.
  • Maintain a stimulating and resource-rich learning environment in your teaching area.
  • Develop a wide variety of practical, oral, personal, social, and academic skills within the student community.
  • Collaborate with other staff and departments to ensure a coherent and comprehensive curriculum.
  • Uphold good discipline among students, recognising and rewarding progress.
  • Mark, assess, and moderate students’ coursework in line with the requirements of the examination boards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A strong academic record in Computer Science or a related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • In-school teaching experience, gained through Teacher training.
  • Knowledge of the Curriculum and SEN Code of Practice.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
