South Tees Hospitals is the largest trust in the Tees Valley with two acute hospitals and services in a number of community hospitals.

The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough is a designated major trauma centre and provides all its specialties from one site which is unique for a hospital of its size. It provides a wide range of district general hospital services and specialist services. It has 1,024 beds, a 24-hour acute admissions unit and an emergency department which houses the major trauma centre for Durham, East Cleveland, Tees Valley and North Yorkshire and has its own helipad.

A vacancy has arisen within the ICT department for an ICT Project Manager to join a team who provide the planning, management and delivery of a variety of ICT and Digital projects across the trust. The post is permanent, full time in the ICT Project Team.

Main duties of the job

Trained in PRINCE 2 the ideal candidate will have previous experience of delivering ICT/Digital projects, preferably in a healthcare setting. You will be responsible for developing project initiation documents, project plans and ensuring all key project documentation is appropriately created and maintained, such as risks, issues and , such as risks and issues, actions, benefits etc.

The candidate must have the ability to prioritise workloads and be able to manage multiple projects at the same time. The successful candidates will have excellent organisational and communication skills good general knowledge and understanding of the NHS and will ideally have worked in an IT / Healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate will be educated to Degree level or equivalent.

The post holders will be based James Cook University Hospital, Marton Road, Middlesbrough and there may be a need to travel to the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton and other community sites.
