As we move into this exciting and challenging period for the Water industry, it is essential we build on in house talent and bring in new talent to challenge how we deliver.

To help us deliver this challenge we are seeking Electrical Engineers to join our growing teams.

What will you be doing as our new Electrical Engineer?

As a talented and driven Electrical Engineer within our diverse and inclusive Engineering team, you’ll provide Electrical Engineering technical input to projects in Anglian Water region.

Key Responsibilities:

Production of Technical Deliverables

Prepare technical schedules, data sheets, and engineering calculations including hydraulic calculations, pump calculations, mass balance calculations, and RICS calculations.

Develop specifications for engineering subcontracts.

Work closely with the supply chain, performing technical bid analysis of their designs.

Electrical Engineering Design

Design electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants.

Develop control, monitoring, and telemetry systems.

Design instrumentation systems.

Create designs for main incoming electrical supply systems and electrical installation systems, including hazardous areas.

Health & Safety Excellence

Support the Electrical Discipline Head in promoting excellence in health and safety.

Demonstrate applied knowledge and skills to produce safe designs in accordance with CDM Regulations, standards, and accepted codes of practice.

Project Delivery:

Ensure all technical work is completed to the correct standards and specifications.

Adhere to the requirements of MAS (Management Assurance System) and challenge when necessary.

Maintain the quality and consistency of all process engineering technical documents.

Work with Senior Engineers, peers, and/or the Discipline Head to ensure technical deliverables are properly checked and approved.

A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours….

You'll have solid and strong experience in a project engineering environment and will hold a degree (or similar qualification) in a relevant Engineering discipline. With a strong electrical engineering design experience, preferably in water and wastewater treatment plants and a familiarity with DM Regulations, standards, and accepted codes of practice. You have a keenness to work in a multi disciplined engineering team to work together to solve complex problems.
