The role
LOCATION: UK STRONGLY PREFFERED
- As top finance leader in the Federation, you are responsible for all areas of finance, i.e. FP&A (incl. budgeting, forecasting, analytics), reporting, accounting, audit, tax, net working capital. The federation encompasses UK, Ireland, Nordics (Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway), South Africa and Mauritius (hub for Africa).
- You will strengthen finance as a strategic and operational partner for business, acting as member of the Federation leadership team and providing insights and advice on driving growth and profitability.
- In close collaboration with the Finance Shared Service Center, you will ensure efficient and high quality accounting, order-to-cash and purchase-to-pay processes.
- You are a hands-on leader, driving change via analytical approaches, process improvements, developing the team and managing organizational interfaces and stakeholder relationships.
Responsibilities
Business partnering and FP&A
- Act as business partner to Federation Leader, offering financial insights and recommendations to drive growth, manage cost and optimize profitability
- Lead annual budgeting and planning in collaboration with regional and Federation Leadership
- Provide support and constructive challenge in forecasting, review business performance, analyze deviations, develop and align improvement measures
- Evaluate and support regional commercial deals, partnerships, and initiatives, integrating commercial, financial and risk aspects
Accounting, audit, tax
- Ensure the preparation of monthly and yearly financial statements in collaboration with Finance Shared Service Center, ensuring timely, accurate, and comprehensive closings in compliance with IFRS, Group policy, internal control systems and local laws
- Manage the year-end and interim IFRS audit with the independent auditors as well as collaboration with internal audit
Order to cash, purchase to pay, net working capital
- In close collaboration with the Finance Shared Service Center, assume responsibility for order-to-cash and purchase-to pay processes, improving cross-functional interfaces and resolving issues
- Assume responsibility for deal-related factoring/financing, credit limits, guarantees
- Monitor and optimize net working capital and cash flow
Developing team and finance function
- Provide leadership to the federation finance team, coaching and developing team members and strengthening finance as a value-adding business partner
- Ensure seamless collaboration with the Finance Shared Service Center and the EMEA and Group Finance departments
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and financial institutions.
What we need to see from you
- Significant experience in finance leadership roles, preferably with exposure to tech industry and to international operations
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field; MBA and/or accounting qualification advantageous
- Proven in-depth experience in finance or related roles with proven experience both in accounting and FP&A
- Track record of leadership, team development, change management and driving commercial and financial performance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate and influence effectively across all levels and functions
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
- Strong organizational skills and resilience, ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
