Job Description

We're hiring on behalf of an innovative client in the embedded insurtech space, who are known for holding several significant partnerships with major, well-known global brands.

This is their first pricing hire and a fantastic opportunity to make an impact as well as contribute strategically to the direction of the company.

They are seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to join their London-based team on a full time basis.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in machine learning, data science, and actuarial principles, particularly in motor and insurance claims analysis . This role will play a crucial part in shaping the company's strategic direction by providing data-driven insights and recommendations to refine insurance products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement pricing models using machine learning and statistical analysis.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.
  • Integrate actuarial methods into pricing strategies in collaboration with the insurance team.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to senior management for strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with product development, underwriting, risk management, and other teams to ensure cohesive product pricing and development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a pricing analyst role, preferably within the insurance sector.
  • Proficiency in machine learning tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and familiarity with actuarial principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
