Senior Naval Architect Our client, a leading company in the marine industry, seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Naval Architect to join their team on a permanent basis. Key Accountabilities Delivery: Provide effective leadership and coordination of engineering and technical activities, utilizing an excellent understanding of Naval Architecture principles. Solve problems, execute planned work schedules, and work with project management to task and control technical teams. Resilience: Develop capabilities in your area of expertise and mentor others to improve knowledge within the engineering and technical communities. Internal Collaboration: Actively participate in increased collaboration across the Group and wider technical teams. Ensure compliance with company processes and procedures. External Collaboration: Give technical presentations and engage in external forums, conferences, and customer meetings. Work with partner organizations to expand and improve the client's work. Safety: Conduct work in a safe manner, highlighting hazards and unsafe practices. Governance: Apply consistent governance across technical programs. Act as a peer or independent reviewer for other projects. Required Skills and Traits Highly motivated, dynamic with a positive attitude and values of integrity, collaboration, and performance. Desire to develop technical skills and understanding. Strong knowledge of data analysis and experience with programming languages such as Matlab or Python. Ability to develop alternative strategies and innovate to improve customer value. Excellent written and presentational communication skills, including the ability to exchange complex information. Good team working, organization, and attention to detail. The successful candidate should have previous experience delivering technical projects in a technical capacity. They should possess an excellent understanding of Naval Architecture, equivalent to someone who has completed a BEng/MEng in Naval Architecture and has substantial industry experience.
