We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 3 teacher to join our team at a larger than average school in Brinnington, Stockport. Due to school movement, the position will be based in a Year 3 class and will require someone with strong subject knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and effective behaviour management strategies coupled with patience and resilience. Children at this school require structure, stability and above all, positive role models to lead the way. In turn, this is a very rewarding place to work and the role will be paid to scale (MPS1-6) with the opportunity of a permenant contract fo the right candidate.

This school is spearheaded by a strong leader who makes effective changes to drive progress and improve life chances for children. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment that inspires and motivates pupils from a wide range of backgrounds. The class comprises of around 30 children of mixed ability with a large percentage falling below age related expectations. As a result it presents an exciting opportunity for the right teacher to watch these pupils flourish and achieve great progress

The school are proud to deliver a rich curriculum which engages children and provides memorable experiences and celebrates many of their 'firsts.' The English curriculum is heavily based on memorable learning, oracy, reading and experiences. This provides purposeful opportunities for reading, writing and discussion.

Children are encouraged to become fluent in fundamentals and be able to reason and problem solve effectively. Through a combination of concrete, pictorial and abstract approaches, children make great progress and achieve well.

Have QTS status or an equivalent teaching qualification
