About the Role We're seeking an experienced Program Lead – Clinical Operations to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across a portfolio of global oncology clinical programs. This is a key, high-impact position connecting science and operations — responsible for translating asset strategy into execution, ensuring the successful delivery of complex, multi-phase trials. This role will be hybrid in Barcelona, Spain. Key Responsibilities Develop and lead the clinical operations strategy for one or more oncology assets, ensuring alignment with scientific and commercial goals. Oversee the execution of global clinical programs, from study initiation through completion, ensuring timelines, quality, and budget targets are met. Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders (Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Biostatistics, Medical, etc.) to drive program success. Anticipate and mitigate operational risks; propose strategic solutions to address study or portfolio challenges. Lead and mentor clinical operations professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Manage large-scale budgets and resource allocation across multiple programs. Contribute to portfolio planning, providing accurate cost and timeline projections to support business decisions. Ensure all programs are executed in full compliance with ICH/GCP, global regulations, and internal standards. Experience & Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in a scientific or healthcare-related discipline. 12+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech clinical research, with 10+ years in global clinical operations leadership roles. Proven track record of delivering oncology trials (Phase I–III) across global regions. Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, operational execution, and risk management. Strong leadership skills — capable of inspiring, coaching, and developing cross-functional teams (direct and indirect). Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities. Deep understanding of ICH/GCP, regulatory standards, and best practices in global clinical operations. eireann.evans@meetlifesciences.com
