Senior Software Engineer required by a successful software company developing web application products for the medical sector.

The company's software engineering team uses a variety of languages and favours the functional paradigm over object oriented programming. Technologies utilised in the team include F#, Haskell and C#.

The Senior Software Engineer is likely to have worked in a SaaS company developing web applications and should be happy working in an environment where functional programming is preferred to OOP.

Applicants for this role should have proven experience with one or more functional programming languages in addition to C#.

The company has a fully remote working policy with no requirement to visit an office.

Essential experience:

  • Functional programming experience or a vested interest in functional programming even in personal projects
  • Knowledge of one or more functional programming languages eg Haskell, F#, Scala, Clojure, Elixir etc
  • C#
  • SQL Server
  • Web application development
  • TypeScript or any modern UI framework

Experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous

  • Functional programming in C#
  • Domain driven design
  • Language-ext
  • Property-based testing
  • Domain specific languages
  • F#, Haskell or similar functional programming language
  • Healthcare or medical industry experience
